Rolf Brombach erzählt uns über sein grosses Hobby, das Birdman-Fliegen. Rolf ist in Europa bekannt als "Mister Birdman" und hält sich des öfteren in Skydive Lillo auf. Dort gibt er sowohl Kurse für Birdman-Anfänger als auch Kurse für angehende Birdman-Instruktoren. Für beides benötigt man natürlich erst einmal eine Ausbildung zum Fallschirmspringer mit Lizenz und einige Sprungerfahrung, für den Instruktor braucht es zudem mindestens 500 Sprünge insgesamt und ca. 100 Birdman-Sprünge.

Am 08. Februar 2006 wurde in Thailand ein neuer Weltrekord im Formationsspringen aufgestellt. Es ist die grösste, jemals von Fallschirmspringern geflogene Formation mit 400 Fallschirmspringern, die alle im Freifall miteinander verlinkt sein müssen. Damit wurde der in 2004 aufgestellte Weltrekord, einer 357er Formation, übertroffen. Marcus Laser, Ausbilder bei Skydive Lillo, ist einer der erfolgreichen Teilnehmer und berichtet über den Rekord und die starken Emotionen, die mit dem Fallschirmsport und dem Grossereignis verbunden sind.

The oldest area of skydiving competition, Classics consists of two different disciplines: Style (in freefall) and Accuracy (under canopy). They are individual events, but accuracy is also a team event as well. Men and women jump in separate events but some of the great women do beat the men's scores.

In January 2004 two new world records were established. One was for the most amount of people in freefall in the same airspace at one time and the other for the largest skydiving formation.
