Skydive Lillo is a Group Member of the United States Parachutes Association and adheres to the basic safety Requirements which are published by this organisation.
• It is mandatory for all skydivers to have a working AAD fitted to their rigs. AAD type "FXC 12000" or similar models are not accepted for Freefly.
• Hand Deploy B.O.C. (bottom of container) or pull out system is mandatory for Freefly (FF).
• Tight riser covers (FF)
• Excellent condition of the spandex pocket for FF and in good condition for flat flying.
• For FF we recommend a proper harness fit. It shouldn't move.
• Velcro on harness-handles in good condition.
• Well protected Hand Deploy bridle.
• Closing loops (main and reserve) sufficiently tight and in good condition
• Suitable canopy and size depending on the level of experience.
• A visual altimeter is mandatory
• For FF an audible altimeter is mandatory. A secondary audible altimeter is recommended.
• A helmet is mandatory for FF.
• We recommend a single point release system for all camera helmets.
• The minimum for camera jumps is 100 jumps
• Don't use a camera helmet with bracket without mounting the camera.
• Rented equipment must be packed only by the DZ packers. The cost of packing is included in the price.
• An equipment check by a DZ staff member is required before boarding.
• The gear rental includes normal use; damage or loss of any of its components is the user's responsibility.
• The gear rental doesn't include the use of Skydive Lillo's altimeters, goggles, helmets or jump-suits.
• Don't manifest unless you are ready to jump, packed and organised. No bumping loads.
• Remember the plane and load number. Listen to the calls and remember to board the right lane. (There might be more than one airplane)
• You will get 15-minute, 10-minute and boarding calls by your load number.
• Use the mock-ups for exit practice. No door jams in the actual airplanes.
• Go to the boarding area when you hear your boarding call (if you're late, you loose your ticket)
• School and tandems enter first.
• The standard exit order at Skydive Lillo is as follows:
     1. Skysurf from Pilatus exit first but never exit over the town
     2. Belly flyers, largest group to smallest
     3. Free flyers, largest group to smallest
     4. High pullers
     5. Tandems and students
     6. Wingsuits
• f you are a small group, enter first. Bigger groups enter last. With special wind conditions, the DZ will change this order.
• Determine exit order by discussing it with other groups on your load. If a staff organiser or instructor is on the load they have the last word.
• All equipment has to be worn prior to boarding the aircraft. Have another skydiver check the equipment and approach the aircraft from behind.
• High openings: Notify manifest if you plan to open above 5.000 feet (1.500 m.) No high openings unless you have permission from manifest. During events with more than one aircraft flying all high openings must be coordinated with drop zone staff. If you are going to pull between 3.000 ft and 5.000 ft, advise to the organiser staff or instructor on the load, to determine your exit place.
• If you are the one opening or closing the door, please be gentle with it when closing
• Spotting and exits are given by the pilot. He will not accept corrections or turning around. Be prepared for either a 180Ί or a 360Ί turns at the pilot's discretion. For low exits or CRW, ask about special jump run procedures.
• Under normal conditions, big groups exit before smaller groups.
• Under normal wind conditions keep a minimum of 7 seconds distance between groups.
• Exit Separation: With upper winds of 0-10 knots, please allow between 6 - 8 seconds between exits (take into account the time it takes to climb out of the aircraft). For winds of 15 knots or higher please use the following formula: Divide Upper wind speed by 2 which will give you the recommended amount of time between exits!
• Upper winds:
15 knots - 7 seconds between exit groups
30 knots - 15 seconds between exit groups
40 knots - 20 seconds between exit groups
• Wing suits exit last and fly in the same direction of the jump run.
Sky surf from Pilatus exit first but never exit over a town.
• Skydivers who want to freefly in groups (more than 3 way) must have a Tνtulo B issued by the FAE. FF1 & FF2 and B4 (FFP) licences will be accepted as an equivalent.
• If you don't have the Tνtulo B, you can only jump solo, 2 way or with a freefly instructor.
• If you are an inexperienced or practising free flyer, always work 90Ί off runway.
• Tracking jumps have to be done 90Ί off runway towards the north.
• To jump in groups, it is necessary to have an Tνtulo A (FAE) or CAT 10 (BPA), B2 (FFP).
• Break off altitude for FF is 5.000 ft. for 2-ways. Bigger groups break off at 5.500 ft.
• Flat flight formations break off at min 4.000 ft., if possible always track 90Ί off runway to avoid collision with earlier or following groups.
• Minimum pull altitude is 2.500 ft.
• Fly your canopy 90Ί off runway, until the following group has opened! Then return to the DZ
• High openings: Notify manifest if you plan to open above 5.000 feet (1.500 m.) No high openings unless you have permission from manifest. During events with more than one aircraft flying all high openings must be coordinated with drop zone staff. If you are going to pull between 3000 ft and 5000 ft, advise to the organiser staff or instructor on the load, to determine your exit place.
• Location brief :the landing area is close to the hangar, at the North of the runway. The lake is at the south of the runway. Never fly over this site!
• Ask to see the aerial map of the landing areas in the office.
• The DZ could restrict jumping due to weather and wind conditions for less experienced jumpers.
• Descend to the north of the runway, respecting the designated waiting areas. Avoid spiralling over the target area.
• Under canopy, never cross the runway! Fly always to the north of the runway.
• Don't fly or land your canopy at the extended ends of the runway (aircraft approach)
• DO NOT LAND ON or NEAR THE RUNWAY
• With north-west wind (wind from the hills) land in a right hand pattern into the wind.
• With south-east wind (wind from the village) land in a left hand pattern into the wind.
• If you are inexperienced and are not comfortable with the traffic, choose another landing area close to the DZ. There are millions of places to land around the DZ, but remember, always to the north of the runway!
• With NO wind or low changing wind land in the direction of the landing "T", the lower canopy has the right of way.
• In the event that the wind shifts during the landing, continue to land in the direction established by the first ones to land.
• Don't endanger yourself or others by performing low hook turns.
• High performance approaches must not endanger other traffic or spectators.
• If traffic is heavy, limit turns in the pattern to 90 degrees or less.
• Once on the ground in the landing area, beware of others landing and be cautious. Down wind landings are only allowed when you are jumping from 5.000 ft (1.500 m).
• If possible, try to land in the same area as the other people landing out. This makes it easier to collect you and in case of an emergency, there are people to help straight away.
• Proceed to the nearest road or path and wait for pick-up. Report back to the manifest after an outside landing
If you have any questions or comments, please inquire with the drop zone manager.
