Being covered in case of emergency or accident is something no one wants to consider but nevertheless essential whilst staying abroad. If you don't have your own personal liability insurance that covers skydiving as well, you can buy insurance directly on arrival at the DZ office and we will take care of it. It is very simple and all you have to do is choose the period of cover, pay the amount at the office and provide the necessary personal information. As soon as we send the information via email to the insurance agency the cover will start (same day of your arrival).

There are about 20 flights from UK and Irish Airports daily into Madrid International Airport (this represents at least one morning and evening flight from each UK major airport). Among many others EasyJet and British Airways fly direct from the UK to Madrid and offer good value fares. With daily flights you can tailor your course to start when you want and stay for as long as you like.

There are a number of options for you to get from Madrid Airport to Skydive Lillo depending on your personal requirements and budget.
Public transport:
If you want to keep your money for jumping and choose the cheapest option, then there are good public transport links between Madrid and Lillo. Tell us your arrival times in Madrid and we will email you detailed directions for the train or bus and the departure times. The train from Madrid goes to the local train station which is 10 kms from Lillo and we can meet you there and take you directly to your accommodation or the drop zone, depending on how late you arrive. If you take the bus you will be dropped off in the centre of Lillo which is a short walk from both the drop zone and all of our accommodation.
DZ Shuttle Service:
If would prefer a more personal service, you can book our airport pickup shuttle through us. This service takes about one hour and your driver will be waiting for you in arrivals at the airport. You will then be taken directly to either the drop zone or your accommodation depending on how late you arrive.
Hiring a car:
If you are looking for greater independence then you may like to take advantage of the car hire at the airport. Many of our students choose this option and it costs less than you might think. Hiring a car has obvious benefits if you decide you want to visit some of the local attractions and culture such as amusement parks, shopping centers or Madrid, Aranjuez or Toledo.

We have several options for accommodation and again these can be customized according to your preferences and budget.
Camping:
This service is free of charge and available all year round. All you have to do is bring your tent and sleeping bag etc. The camping area is conveniently located near the picnic area, shower and toilet block and is only a stones throw from the hangar so you are never far from the action. This option suits people who would like to keep their money for jump tickets.
Student's house:
The Drop Zone offers fully furnished houses in the town for students to share. Each house has a capacity for 6 people and is fully equipped with all bedding and towels so you don't have to bring them with you. All our houses also have fully equipped kitchens and lounge area. Sharing a house with other students will give you the opportunity to socialize with like-minded people and share the day's experiences.
Hotels:
If you enjoy the service of a hotel and the privacy of your own room you might want to spent a few euros more and book yourself into a hotel. There are several hotels in town and nearby and we will be more than happy to make the reservations for you. Just inform us of your requirements and your budget and leave the rest to us.
